Description
Fremont Peak is the highest summit in the Wind River Range of Wyoming. It is located in the Fitzpatrick Wilderness of the Shoshone National Forest, about 20 miles (32 km) east of Pinedale, Wyoming. The peak was named for John C. Fremont, who explored the area in 1842.
This image shows a beautiful wildflower meadow in front of Fremont Peak. The wildflowers are in full bloom and the colors are amazing. There is a bee pollinating one of the flowers. The meadow is surrounded by mountains and the sky is a deep blue with white clouds. The image is taken in a vertical orientation.
